Sleepy Hollow Cemetery

Concord’s largest cemetery is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located a short distance from Concord’s town center. Of particular interest are Daniel Chester French’s Melvin Memorial, and Author’s Ridge, where Henry Thoreau, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Ralph Waldo Emerson and Louisa May Alcott and her father Bronson Alcott are buried.
