This small museum contributes to the preservation of Cape Ann’s heritage and focuses on history, art and culture. It offers the largest collection of works by luminist painter and Gloucester native Fitz Henry Lane, as well as works by Winslow Homer and Leon Kroll. Also find maritime and fishing industry artifacts, Cape Ann granite quarrying, 18- to 19th-century American furniture and decorative arts, and more. “Highlights of the Collection” guided tours F-Sa at 11 am and Su at 2pm.
