Benjamin Franklin Statue Boston Latin School

Freedom Trail attraction. A mosaic entitled “City Carpet” commemorates the site of the Boston Latin School, the first public school in Boston, and the oldest in the country. It educated students like Samuel Adams, John Hancock, Ralph Waldo Emerson and Benjamin Franklin—also find Richard Greenough’s statue of the latter at this site, in front of Old City Hall.
