First Look: Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta

What to expect from the luxe hotel located adjacent to SunTrust Park

The new Cobb County hotel opened earlier this month, and is an exhibition of Atlanta Braves art and history designed to excite locals fans and global travelers alike.

The official hotel of the Atlanta Braves, Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta has 264 well-appointed guest rooms (including 28 suites), more than 20,000 square feet of meeting space and a pool deck with the aptly named 582 Waterside Lounge & Bar located only 582 feet away from home plate.

The hotel takes full advantage of showcasing its unique location, particularly with the 16th floor suites' private terraces and the Presidential suite's sweeping view of SunTrust Park and adjacent mixed-use development. Dubbed The Battery, the play-live-work-stay destination debuted last year with a rolling list of openings for restaurants, retail shops, premier office spaces and the Coca-Cola Roxy music venue.

The addition of the hotel marks Omni's latest partnership in a series of distinct collaborations with high-profile developments adjacent to iconic attractions. The design pairs retro Americana with sophisticated elegance and state-of-the-art technology, as the area is powered by an all-fiber network with the highest-capacity serving any mixed-use community or ballpark in the nation.

Throughout the hotel, guests will discover touches of local color and local flavor, from Braves memorabilia to handcrafted wood by local favorite Lamon Luther to paintings by Richard Sullivan, an artist and former professional baseball player with the Braves.

An Art-o-mat—a retired cigarette vending machine that has been converted to sell art—greets guests by the elevator to the plaza level and the Lobby Bar, which serves local coffee, cocktails and wine in a social atmosphere for guests and locals alike.

Stylish baseball fans won't want to miss South End Trading Company, a distinct retail shop showcasing American craft art installations, whimsical pieces from brands like Jet Set Candy, Draper James and GAIA, local art and fashion as well as a collection of music records inspired by the neighboring Coca-Cola Roxy music venue.

The hotel is anchored by Achie’s restaurant from acclaimed Chef Hugh Acheson with Southern-inspired dishes with locally sourced ingredients.
