Atlanta

Bar Wars Pub Crawl

Celebrate Star Wars Day with an unforgettable pub crawl hosted by Markster Con. Participating pubs include Limerick Junction, Dark Horse Tavern, Neighbor’s Pub and Diesel Filling Station, which is also the host pub for this event. Star Wars Day at the Public Library of Brookline

This free, family-friendly Star Wars celebration will offer a Star Wars-themed scavenger hunt, trivia, a green-screen photo booth so you can journey to “a galaxy far, far away,” as well as lightsaber demonstrations from the Boston Lightsaber Combat Club. There will also be crafts to make your own lightsaber, Yoda ears and more. Costumes are welcome. DuPage Symphony’s May the Fourth Concert

Enjoy excerpts from John Williams’ Star Wars film score as well as Jeff Tyzik’s Big Movie Suite which highlights themes from movies such as "Gone with the Wind," "Big Sur" and "Lawrence of Arabia." Erich Korngold’s "The Adventures of Robin Hood Suite" will also be performed. Wearing a costume to see the orchestra is not only allowed but encouraged! Tickets are $5. Wentz Concert Hall, 171 E. "May the Fourth be with You" Weekend

This weekend-long Star Wars celebration includes lightsaber battles, virtual reality demos, droid races, crafts and showings of "Stars Wars: Episode VII—The Force Awakens" and "Episode VIII—The Last Jedi." You’ll have opportunities to learn about the science behind the films as well as robotics, futuristic technology and life on other planets. Sci-fi-related and Star Wars-themed costumes are encouraged. Star Girls Burlesque May the Fourth Celebration

This “nerdlesque” parody show brings you Star Wars with both classic and new characters joining the stage. Enjoy the Star Wars story reimagined through burlesque and featuring a few new twists. This show is returning to L.A. for the first time in almost two years, so even if you’ve seen it before, you haven’t seen it like this. "May the Fourth be with You" Derby Day

This celebration combines all things Star Wars with the Kentucky Derby at the Downtown Container Park. Enjoy limited-edition cocktails at Oak & Ivy that play to both celebrations, such as the “Ryes of Skywalker” or the Woodford Reserve Mint Julep. Downtown Terrace will serve a complimentary derby-inspired cocktail to all guests sporting their Derby finest and the evening will close with a special screening of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" at 7:30 pm.
