Capturing the Spirit of Oakland Halloween Tours

Visit Atlanta’s famed Oakland Cemetery at night. The tour regales you with stories of Atlanta’s past narrated by guides dressed as Oakland's eternal residents. See gorgeous, candlelit mausoleums and famous gravesites of Margaret Mitchell, Bobby Jones and Maynard Jackson, among others. Bring a flashlight. Oct 17-19, 23-25. Adults $23, kids 4-12 $13, kids 3 and under free.

Ghosts of Marietta Walking Tour

Equipped with only lanterns, storytellers guide you through the streets of Marietta, one of Atlanta’s most haunted cities, in this 90-minute tour. Follow a trail of documented sightings and first-hand experiences while hearing the tales of Marietta’s most notorious lingering locals. This tour is available year-round. Fri-Sun 8:30 pm. Adults $17, seniors/students $15, kids (12 and under) $12.

Little Five Points Halloween Festival and Parade

Perhaps Atlanta’s most popular and quirkiest Halloween event, this festival is all about letting your freak flag fly. Enjoy live music on two stages, kid-friendly activities and the campiest Halloween parade around in one of Atlanta’s most eclectic neighborhoods. Oct. 18, noon-11 pm; parade at 4 pm. Free admission.

Atlanta Zombie Apocalypse

Run for your life in this simulated zombie apocalypse that feels all too real. Now in its fifth year, Atlanta Zombie Apocalypse thrills with 150,000 square feet of immersive terror, giving brave patrons only an airsoft gun and 100 rounds of ammunition to stay alive. Oct. 4-5, 11-12, 18-19, 24-27 & 31, Nov. 1-2. Netherworld

Netherworld pulls out all the stops to earn its title as Atlanta’s most petrifying haunted house. Live actors, ultra-realistic makeup and stunning special effects are the active ingredients in this recipe for terror. This walk-through attraction is not for the weak-hearted. Through Nov. 2.
