A local favorite, the Silver Comet Trail is 61.5 miles long and winds through Cobb, Paulding and Polk counties before ending at the Georgia/Alabama state line. It connects up to Heritage Park, a 105-acre nature preserve where visitors can visit the Concord Woolen Mills ruins as well as nearby Concord Bridge and Nickajack Creek.

Guy Fieri visited Korean-Japanese sensation Yakitori Jinbei on Triple D and loved chef Jae Choi’s fried chicken and his approach of adding curry to ramen. Italian spot Scalini’s features nearly 300 baby photos, infants who were born shortly after their moms ate the eggplant parmigiana. Zucca is beloved for its specialty pies.

Get your drink on at The Corner Taqueria, which lines its shelves with 30 types of tequila and has local brews on tap. Pair one with its gourmet fusion tacos. Just down the street, Atkins Park Tavern’s previous incarnation was a deli; today it’s known for its wine and beer list, in addition to Southern fare with a Caribbean twist.
