Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta's Jonathan DiMarco shares an insider's look at the hotel and beyond.
What’s your favorite Atlanta holiday tradition?
Seeing the lights at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. The trees are lit up, carolers are usually there, [there are] amazing crafted cocktails and fire pits where you can roast s’mores. It can be romantic and great for families, anyone can enjoy it.
Atlanta has a rich literary history. What’s a literary-inspired attraction any book lover would want to see?
The Jimmy Carter Presidential Library. Not many cities have a presidential library and it’s so close to Midtown. What most people don’t realize is that they host weekly and bi-weekly events from book signings to visits from Jimmy Carter himself.
What Atlanta restaurants feature their own fireplaces that patrons can warm up to this season?
My choice is Red Phone Booth. It’s really a hidden gem of Atlanta because you have to have the password to go through the actual red phone booth located Downtown. The seating is great, [there's] low lighting [and] their cocktails speak for themselves (ask Bob to make you one!) Talk to the concierge to get the code.
Where’s the best place to buy a pair of boots?
What’s a restaurant that has a delectable red wine selection?
Kevin Rathbun Steak. I’ve been there multiple times. They have a vast red wine selection from here in the states to international wines. The sommeliers can also help you find the perfect wine pairing.
What’s one social media account you follow to find out what’s hot in Atlanta?
What else is going on at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta or the hotel's restaurant, Bar Margot, this season?
A lot of things are changing here at the Four Seasons. New events are on the horizon—we just had our [second] anniversary party with Bar Margot!
There are also many things are going on at the spa. Our whirlpool is saltwater, not chlorine, and you can continue rejuvenating at the spa with a Shiatsu massage or a facial to help with the harsh winter weather. Be sure to connect with us on the Four Seasons app.
