Anan Wildlife Observatory

Located 30 miles southeast of Wrangell, visitors can watch black and brown bears catch salmon in summer. Managed by the U.S. Forest Service; a day-pass is required to visit Anan during July and August when the fish are running. Phone the Forest Service office for a list of guides and outfitters visiting Anan.
