An Evening With Molly Ringwald

If you're wondering what Molly Ringwald has been up to since her heyday as the reigning redheaded queen of the '80s, the short answer is jazz. The McKinney Performing Arts Center will host “An Evening with Molly Ringwald” Saturday, March 21 at 8 p.m. The concert pays homage to the Great American Songbook and features a special take on “The Breakfast Club” classic, “Don’t You (Forget About Me).”

Chinese New Year Celebration

The Crow Collection Of Asian Art will celebrate Chinese New Year and the Year of the Ram with a spectacular street festival in the Dallas Arts District.

A spectacular Dragon and Lion Dance, cultural performances, martial arts demos, live music, food trucks, fireworks, arts and crafts, wellness activities and Museum tours are on tap (see media advisory and schedule below).  Free and open to the public, the 16th annual festival will be from 11 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Shakespeare Dallas’ Third Annual Pub Crawl

"Good wine is a good familiar creature, if it be well used." And at Shakespeare Dallas’ Third Annual Pub Crawl, there will certainly be plenty of familiar creatures. On February 28, Shakespeare Dallas invites everyone over the age of 21 to don a wristband, their best Shakespearean outfit and crawl along McKinney Avenue in Dallas, mixing and mingling with Shakespeare Dallas staff and artists.

Magnolia at The Modern

County Parks Customer Appreciation Day

It may be the Ides of March for some folks, but at all Charleston County parks it will be time "to enjoy all of the play with none of the pay" as the parks mark their annual Customer Appreciation Day. Gate admission will be free at the Ravenel Caw Caw Interpretive Center and North Charleston Wannamaker, Mount Pleasant Palmetto Islands and James Island County parks.
