Tacoma Museums+Attractions: Karshner Museum
Karshner Museum
The founders established the museum in 1930 as a tribute to their son, who died of polio. They collected many of the artifacts during their travels in the ’30s and ’40s. There are exhibits on Native American culture, natural history and various cultures of the world. There’s also an installation by glass artist Dale Chihuly, a native of the area.
