News channel 15 boasts an impressive weather and environmental team and offers newscasts at 5:30 a.m., noon, and 5:00 and 11:00 p.m. Chief Meteorologist Ed Piotrowski has been voted the state’s No. 1 weathercaster by the Associated Press of South Carolina and was nominated for the National Hurricane Center’s media award for outstanding efforts to educate and inform the public about hurricanes and hurricane preparedness. WPDE is the only area station to broadcast line lottery drawings nightly at 6:58 p.m. All of our ABC stations bring you Good Morning America at 7:00 a.m. and air soaps from 1:00 through 4:00 p.m. Other ABC programming varies from channel to channel during the time blocks of morning talk shows and evening sitcoms. Subscribers to Time Warner Cable can access ABC programming on channel 9. TV 4 is on channel 4. Horry Telephone service is on channel 9 as well. Cablevision airs channel 4 on channel 57; channel 9 stays the same.
