Charles Towne Landing

This is the site of the first permanent English settlement in the Carolinas, more than 300 years ago. You’ll find a reproduced sailing vessel, the original fortified area, an experimental crop garden and a natural habitat zoo with more than 20 species of animals. Open daily.
