Herman Melville’s Arrowhead
A visit to the Berkshires in 1850 inspired author Herman Melville to settle at this farmhouse, where he would later pen his famous oeuvre“Moby Dick,” as well as “The Confidence-Man,” “The Piazza Tales” and other literary works. Today, the Berkshire Historical Society operates the National Historic Property and offer guided tours. June-October, open daily 9:30 am-5 pm.
