Built in the 1920s, this intriguing medieval-style castle was constructed by and houses the Roman, medieval and Renaissance-era private artifact collection of American inventor John Hays Hammond, Jr. Explore Hammond’s extensive holdings, which includes art and armor, pianos and organs, and his own inventions. And take a self-guided stroll through the castle’s rooms, tower galleries, grounds and even a secret passageway. May-June 15 and September-Oct. 16, open Sa-Su 10 am-4 pm. June 16-August, open Tu-Su 10 am-4 pm. Admission: $6-10.
