For a glimpse into what life was like on the Illinois prairie, visit Naperville’s Naper Settlement Museum Village, an authentic reconstruction of a 19th-century prairie community. The 13-acre site contains 18 historic homes, businesses and public buildings, plus authentically costumed villagers who have sights to show and stories to tell.
