Key West Museums and Attractions: Pelican Path
Pelican Path
(FREE) Visitors who like to wander on their own should be sure to first pick up a copy of the Pelican Path brochure at the chamber of commerce on Mallory Square. This handy compact walking guide and map offers a short history of Key West as well as a suggested route that will take you past 50 of our most prominent historic structures. Most of the buildings described in this brochure are now private homes and guesthouses. Those that are open for touring are highlighted in yellow. Don’t be surprised, however, if you can’t spot those yellow-and-blue Pelican signs described in the brochure as path markers; many of them have disappeared over the years. Even so, the Pelican Path remains relatively easy to follow and is a great way to get acquainted with island history.
