N. Arizona Navigate: Wickenburg
Wickenburg
The small town of Wickenburg lives a simple Old West sort of lifestyle. It pays quiet respect to its gold- and copper-mining roots at a frozen-in-time mine and an apparatus graveyard. It also celebrates its contemporary cowboy persona at a couple of remarkably well-appointed guest ranches (also called “dude ranches”) and in neat, careful collections inside the Desert Caballeros Western Museum. For a leisurely orientation to the town, pick up a historic walking tour map from the chamber of commerce and go for a stroll.
